Introduction

The Yellow Door

 Donegal Magic was founded last year 2019 when I had an idea one day whilst walking along the Bank Walk in Donegal Town.  It's beautiful path which winds its way down to the water at Donegal Bay and quite a gorgeous place to sit and dwell in peace and quiet.  Along this path there are fairy doors pinned to trees with childrens names and even a fairy post box too.  

With the birds and squirrels chirping and scurrying in amongst the trees there are feeders and little houses for them also which adds more magic all around this mystical walk.  It's one I enjoy often and probably just as excited as the children who also run through it with their parents, wondering and hoping they will catch sight of a fairy or two.

And so I began drawing fairy doors with with vibrancy and imagination all around them, enjoying them thoroughly I have now created quite a collection. I decided to begin my blog about them and other stories of the magic of Donegal as it has been one of the most mysterious and magical places I have stayed in so far.  There is something about it all, who knows, maybe there are fairies all around?
